How does it work? 

The tube within a tube design is the most efficient method of heating water.  The inner tube has a special selective black coating on the outside with a mirror finish on the inside.  The sun's radiation is attacted naturally to the black coating and is transferred directly to the pool water inside the mirror finish tube which traps the radiation allowing absorption of all avalailable heat.  The outer tube insulates the heated water from outside temperatures.
